Multiple Boards, Sharing, and Premium Plans

We’re pleased to announce the release of our most requested features: multiple boards and board sharing.

Multiple boards makes it possible for you to own and manage more than one board. We’ve set this up as a premium feature with flexible pricing plans starting with 5 boards for just $10/month. Check out our full pricing plans here.

You can also share your board with other users, either with a select group of people or as a publicly viewable read-only link. This feature is available on all plans, including the free single-board plan.

We’re excited to roll out these features and hope it makes ProjectFlow an even more useful tool for you and your team.

A Cleaner Look, Easier Add, and More Coming Soon

Notice anything different about ProjectFlow this morning? We’ve cleaned things up a bit to give you a cleaner view of the board. Gone are the visible white pencils for editing each block. From now on, they’ll appear only on hover (or if you’re on a tablet, on tap).

Also, we’ve made it easy for you to add projects directly to a column. Just hover over on the column title and you’ll see an Add button.

We know we’ve been away for a while focusing on our client work. But over the next 3-4 weeks, we have some major features that we’ll be rolling out. We’re very excited and will keep you posted. Happy holidays!

Sneak Peek: Notes & Date Fields

We’re in the testing phases of our Notes & Date fields on ProjectFlow, and we’re very excited to launch these features very soon. Here’s a quick look at how the new Add/Edit box will look:

Follow us on Twitter (@getprojectflow) and be notified when we go live with our new features.

We’ve been getting a lot of questions about adding clients and people, so here’s a quick How-To video!

You can add clients and people simply by typing their name in and pressing enter.

When you type in a new name, the dropdown will display “Add Option”. You can also click that to add the name to the existing list.

Above each dropdown, there’s also a View All/Edit option. From that menu you can edit or delete names.

Hope you’re enjoying ProjectFlow! We love feedback, so don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Will ProjectFlow Stay Free?

We had a bump in user sign-ups today after Smashing Magazine tweeted about us in the morning. Through our Intercom setup, we were able to get some really great feedback from people. One of the questions that popped up a few times was: will ProjectFlow stay free?

Right now, our plan is to keep ProjectFlow a free service. We’ll continue to add new features and improve the experience. At some point, we will introduce a Premium edition that lets you do more. We’re not 100% sure what form this may be. One thought is that we’ll allow Premium members to create and manage multiple boards. Another thought is that integrations with other apps will only be available for Premium users. We’re still in the early stages and our goal at the moment is to create the best free experience possible.

If you haven’t yet, please check out ProjectFlow and let us know how we can make it better for you!

Welcome to Project Flow!

Here are some tips on getting started.

First, you’ll want to rename your board. Click the settings icon on the right to access the settings menu. Rename your board and click save.

Next, let’s get rid of these example projects. To do so, click the edit icon in the right of each box and then click the trash icon. You can also drag projects directly into the trash, located in the upper right-hand corner.

Now, let’s rename our columns. To edit a column, click on the edit icon. Rename your column and select a color for your column in this menu.

In this example, we are setting up columns for web development projects with Planning, Design, Development and Launch.

Next, you’ll want to add some projects onto your board. To add a project, click the plus button in the navigation to the right. You can name your project, select a client, and assign multiple people onto the project. To add a new client or person to the existing list, simply type their name and press enter. You can only attach one client to any given project but you may select multiple people. You can also edit the list of clients and people by clicking the edit option above each dropdown. There, you can edit or delete names.

From this add menu, you can also add columns onto your board. Let’s add a QA/Testing column.

Now, drag and drop to rearrange projects and columns.

To complete a project, click the edit icon to add that project to successes. You can also drag it directly into the success icon.

To view successful projects, click on the success icon in the corner on the right. From there, you can restore projects back to your board.

If you click on the trash icon, you may restore projects from the trash as well.

Lastly, you can customize your board by clicking into the settings menu. Besides renaming your board, you can also change the information labels for each project. For example, as a real estate agent, information such as locations, buyers and sellers would be more important for your board as opposed to client and people labels. You may also change the view of your board in this menu.

Please start enjoying your ProjectFlow!
